Fresh Off The Plate Presents: Lao & Korean Inspired Fried Rice

  • Green Onions
  • Pork Belly/Thick Bacon
  • Kim-Chi
  • "Day old" Rice
  • Gochujang
  • Jeaw Bong
  • Fish Sauce
  • Sesame Oil
  • Sesame Seeds
  • Soy Sauce
  • 1 egg

  1. Cut up all your fresh ingredients; dice green onions and chop up the bacon. Be sure the kim-chi is bite-sized.
  2. Fry the bacon.
  3. Put in 1/2 tablespoon gochujang as the bacon begins to cook, then a 1/2 tablespoon of jeaw bong soy sauce.
  4. When pastes are evenly distributed among the bacon, add the kim-chi.
  5. Add 1 Cup of "Day old" Rice.  The firmness will add to the texture.
  6. Time to bond! Part the ingredients leaving a hole in the middle.
  7. Crack open the egg in the hole and mix to bond all the ingredients.
  8. Once done, plate contents.
  9. Sprinkle with green onions and splash with fish sauce, sesame oil, and sesame seeds.
  10. Garnish with seaweed and you're set to eat!
