2-Ingredient Air-Fried Donuts

Ever wake up and wish you could have fresh donuts delivered to you in bed? These are pretty much the next best thing. This recipe takes 10 minutes or less (plus about 5 minutes for glazing) and requires very little effort. The dough itself is only one ingredient and an air-fryer gets these donuts piping hot in a flash.


Ingredients for Donuts:

1 can biscuits (I used original Pillsbury Biscuits in Flaky)


Ingredients for Regular Glaze:

⅔ cup powdered sugar

1 - 1 ½ tbsp milk of your choice

1 drop food coloring (optional)


Ingredients for Chocolate Glaze:

¼ cup mini chocolate chips (I find these just melt more easily!)

1 tbsp coconut oil



Directions:

1. Separate each biscuit and use a small circular cookie cutter or glass to cut a hole in each biscuit. I used a shot glass, which was the perfect size!

2. Set your ToBox airfryer to 390 degrees, place four donuts in the pan and air-fry for 4-5 minutes (my first batch took 5 minutes, but once the pan was hot the second batch only took 4).

3. Carefully remove each donut and place on a paper towel to soak up any excess oil and to let cool. While donuts are cooling, make your glazes in two separate bowls.

4. For the original glaze with the powdered sugar, stir together the sugar and milk but be careful not to make it too watery, as the glaze will slide right off the donut. You’ll want the glaze to be somewhat thick and opaque. For the chocolate glaze, melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe container in 15 second increments. After about 45 seconds, the chocolate and coconut oil should be melting together. Stir well until completely smooth.

5. Using a spoon, drizzle the glaze on top of each donut (I did this step over the bowl so the excess glaze would fall right back in) and cover the donut completely. You can tilt the donut from side to side to make sure parts of the outside of the donut get glazed, as well.

6. Top with sprinkles if desired and let dry on a plate, or eat immediately since these are best when warm!
